All Saints Services

All Saints is meeting in church at 10 every Sunday, and the services will be streamed on the “All Saints Church Cockermouth” Facebook page where, of course, they can be viewed “after the event” as well as live.

In addition we are open every day from 10 to 11.30 for private prayer.

Faith and Life

As part of our services we have been asking some of our members what its like to live out their faith in their work and lives .

Each interview is only 5 to 8 minutes long. Have a listen , perhaps there words will resonate with you.

More interviews are available on our YouTube channel

About All Saints

The present building is probably the third one on this site. The first one dated from at least the 14th century and quite possibly earlier. It was in poor condition and demolished in 1771. The second was destroyed by fire in 1850 and the present building dates from 1854.

Of particular note is the stained glass, with the East Window dedicated to the memory of William Wordsworth. He and his sister Dorothy were baptised in the previous church.

In the closed churchyard, there are headstones in memory of John Wordsworth (William's father) and Fearon Fallows (Astronomer Royal)

Safeguarding

The welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults is an absolute priority for us.  Safeguarding shows God's love in action and in churches demonstrates safety and security, where abuse and mistreatment of others is not tolerated.

The Cockermouth Area Team is signed up to and abides by the Church of England Policy on Safeguarding and  Carlisle Diocese Safeguarding Policy

Each of our churches has a Safeguarding Officer. For more information and who to contact if you are concerned that someone you know about may be suffering harm please visit our Safeguarding page.
